When Cyclone Eloise hit South Africa recently, it brought with it rain, winds and terrible flooding. While many communities managed to escape the destruction, several towns in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga were unable to get away before the devastation hit. Homes, farming areas and businesses were flooded, leaving families in desperate need of immediate assistance. A total of 46 families were severely impacted by the cyclone and had nowhere to turn for help.
Feed the Nation Foundation immediately reacted and began mobilising food hampers for the most affected families with the support of Pick n Pay and Boxer.
Each family was visited separately by the Boxer teams in the areas and handed their food parcels.
