For me Heritage is about celebrating our roots, being appreciative of all the things that our ancestors and fore father did for us so that we can be where we are today. As times are changing and the world is evolving, we must not forget where we came from, and we need to celebrate all the things that we are eternally grateful for as these are what make us who we are, it brings out our characteristics and personality as we embrace where we came from. I celebrate my heritage the south African way through Ubuntu, by showing compassion and humanity by being a part of such incredible organizations like feed the nation where we can give back to those who need the assistance. Spreading love and joy and seeing the biggest smiles in the world is oh so pure and heart-warming.
Being a part of such an incredible team knowing that what we are doing is impacting their lives in a way that cannot be put into words but just seeing the receivers eyes light up and the big smiles that they have on their faces , it just warms my heart and encourages me to do more for those who are not as privileged as I am. It makes me so grateful for what I have and even more appreciative to know that I am a part of an amazing organization and that we are able to help them in a way that is touching their hearts, especially when the world is changing rapidly knowing that I as an individual can make a difference to a few people is something big.
